You can take the headline in its literal meaning, as the cast and crew of Suriya's forthcoming film 'Maatraan' suffered from heat waves when they were shooting near the India-Pakistan border recently.

"Some important portions of the movie were recently shot in Bhuj near the international border. No special permission was required to hold the shooting there since it is a safe zone. However, the unit suffered from the scorching summer heat," sources say.

"Director K V Anand, Suriya and others had a tough time under the sun. But the thorough professionals took up the challenge and completed the task, that too well ahead than planned," they add.

Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram of AGS Entertainment, 'Maatraan' is almost complete, but for one song. The film to be released by Eros International will hit the screens on August 15, that is, Independence Day.
