Maari
After tasting a success in `Velai Illa Pattadhari' last year, actor Dhanush is back with his next film `Maari'. This film has been produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner with the collaboration of Radhikar Sarathkumar and Lisden Stephen.
The film marks Dhanush first time union with director Balaji Mohan, who has given clean entertainers like `Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi' and `Vaayai Moodi Pesavum'. Actress Kajala Aggarwal will be romancing Dhanush in this film and this is the first time for the `Thuppakki' girl to pair up with the highly talented actor. Robo Shankar who has been appearing in small roles so far seems to be playing Dhanush's main accomplice in the film. Singer Vijay Yesudoss makes his acting debut in this film as the villainy police officer while Kaali Venkat is also appearing as a policeman.
The trailer of the film was released a few weeks back and promises a commercial potboiler and a roller-coaster of an entertainer for fans of Dhanush who plays a local don in this film. Musical score has been done by Dhanush's lucky charm Anirudh Ravichander and the songs are already a rage among youngsters.
The film will be releasing in theatres across the world on July 17.
