Kalyani Priyadarshan, who made her Kollywood debut in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan's "Hero," is gearing up for her nect flick "Maanaadu." Silambarasan plays the lead role, with SJ Suryah, Kalyani, and Premgi Ameran, among others, playing supporting roles.

Venkat Prabhu is the director of the film. The movie is Political thriller and the first track from the film, Meherezyla, was released on June 21 by the team. The movie is scheduled to be released soon. It was previously stated that dubbing for the film had begun and was moving along quickly.

Kalyani who plays the leaf lady in this film recently took to instagram and posted a picture from the Studio with the caption "DUBBING START #MAANAADU" on her Instagram story.

According to rumours, this most awaited film was supposed to be released during Eid in May, but it was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. The film's producers are now rumoured to be planning a release during the Puja holidays in October. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music and also bagged the music rights while Suresh Kamatchi's V House Productions is financing the film.
