The Madras High Court is currently considering a request from film producer Rama Saravanan to block the release of Udhayanidhi Stalins' upcoming movie "Maamannan." The petitioner is also seeking compensation of Rs 25 crore from Udhayanidhi in this matter.
In addition to blocking the release of "Maamannan". Mr. Saravanan alleges that he experienced several inconveniences while trying to complete his own project called "Angel." Udhayanidhi was cast in a leading role alongside actresses Anandhi and Payal Rajput and actor Yogi Babu, who appeared in supportive roles.
Despite completing 80% of filming, progress on production has come into question with Udhayanidhi's failure to adhere to an agreed-upon schedule and meet important deadlines, effectively causing setbacks for other stakeholders involved in the project.
To make up for these potential losses and damages incurred by him. Mr. Saravanan has not only sought temporary relief but also requested Rs 25 crore as compensation from Udhayanidhi. The petition is yet to be listed for hearing.
