'Maamannan' is an ambitious film directed by Mari Selvaraj, which stars Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh. We all know that the acclaimed director joined hands with his idol Isai Puyal AR Rahman for the first time in this movie. The first single from the movie is out now.
This composition is sung by Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu with Yugabharathi's lyrics. 'Raasa Kannu' sounds like a song of grief about the plight of a clan. ARR has composed a gut-wrenching track beautifully using Vadivelu's voice, strings and low-key beats. The lyric video features clips from the song recording along with a few montages.
The video ends with a few shots of Udhayanidhi Stalin dancing. This is said to be the last film in his acting career before he turns into a full-time politician. Sandy master has choreographed the song. Maamannan is all set to hit the screens in June, most likely on Bakrid (June 29). Theni Eswar took care of the cinematography while Selva RK did the editing.
