Maamanithan
Vijay Sethupathi and Seenu Ramasamy combo are one of the most successful combinations in Tamil cinema. The duo won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil in their very first collaboration 'Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru' itself. They teamed up again for the unreleased film 'Idam Porul Yaeval' and the super hit 'Dharma Durai'.
The two have reunited for their fourth film 'Maamanithan', after the success of Dharma Durai in 2016. This upcoming drama film is produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under his YSR Productions banner. Gayathrie has played the female lead opposite Makkal Selvan while late actress KPAC Lalitha, Guru Somasundaram, Shaji Chen, Jewel Mary, Anikha, Saravana Shakti have appeared in supporting roles.
Vijay Sethupathi plays an auto driver and a happy family man, who is forced to take a tough stand. Gayathrie plays his wife in the movie. Ilayaraja and his sons Karthik Raaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have jointly scored the music for 'Maamanithan', which has stirred up expectations for the upcoming movie. The film is slated to hit the screens on May 20.
