In his open letter, the 'Acharya' actor opined that the elections must be held soon so that a new office can take over. "It doesn't feel morally right on the part of the caretaker office-bearers to keep on taking decisions by continuing in the office. I feel that elections have to come soon," the 'Sye Raa' actor said.
Chiru said that, as a founding member of the Association, he feels attached to it. "Every member of MAA feels attached to it in a special way," he added.
Last week, actress Hema alleged that President Naresh's policies have resulted in the drying up of MAA's funds. There are rumours that Chiru is unhappy with Naresh's style of functioning. His letter suggests that he is not in favour of the MAA continuing to delay elections. Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu are among the contenders for the top post this time.
