MAA elections: Date fixed

The much-delayed elections to the Movie Artists Association will be held on October 10. The date was finalized today by the MAA.
The elections were supposed to be held in March. VK Naresh, the President, decided to postpone the polls in view of the pandemic. For months, the likes of Prakash Raj have been suggesting that the elections shouldn't be delayed any further. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi made a similar statement in a letter.
It seems the care-taking team that is currently in office has finally given into the demands made by several members of the MAA.
Who all are contesting for the top post? Manchu Vishnu, Prakash Raj, Hema, and Jeevitha Rajasekhar are in the race.
Since there is no consensus on electing someone unanimously, the elections have become inevitable.
Meanwhile, Vishnu recently said that he has zeroed in on three pieces of land in Hyderabad where the MAA building can be built. He and his family will be funding the entire construction expenditure.
