Jeevitha Rajasekhar has opened up on the controversy at Movie Artists Association in the wake of several reports saying that the differences between the camps led by Naresh and she reached a zenith at Sunday's meeting.
Speaking to IndiaGlitz, Jeevitha, who is MAA's General Secretary, said, "A lot of things have been said about yesterday's meeting on social media. There has been a range of rumours. Some news reports have stated that members were instructed not to attend the meeting, as there might be disturbances," she says. "Let me issue a clarification to put an end to all the rumours. The meeting was attended by about 200 members despite all the confusion surrounding it. I thank all the attendees. The meeting started at 10:30 am and went on till evening without interruption," Jeevitha starts off.
"Differences of opinions are definitely there between us and they have been persisting. There are several reasons why we haven't been able to resolve them. During Sunday's meeting, there were arguments, some emotional exchanges and there were also conciliatory gestures from all sides. It was a productive and meaningful meeting," she adds.
"It has been decided that if twenty per cent of MAA's about 1000 members demand the constitution of an Extraordinary General Body meeting, it will be accomplished within 21 days. The members can express their will either orally, through a mail or a post. This is all that happened yesterday," Jeevitha signs off.
