CVL Narasimha Rao is one of the contestants running for the post of MAA President. The MAA elections are going to be held on October 10. Today, Rao came out with a series of specific promises that he is going to fulfil if he wins the election.

"The agenda which we agreed upon in 2011 has to be fulfilled in a time-bound manner for the benefit of the members. When a resolution to this effect was passed back then, it was decided that a 50-member committee would be formed. Their names will be announced soon," Rao said.

"In another two days, I will detail out my plan at a presser. I am in favour of providing health insurance of up to Rs 3 lakh to each member in case of hospitalization. It will be implemented by January next year. The premium is going to be paid by the MAA on behalf of members. The Film Nagar Cultural Club membership will be provided to MAA members," Rao added.

"A pension of Rs 6,000 has been given to each member as of now. From November, this will be raised to Rs 10,000. The Asara committee, which was formed 20 years ago, must be revived. Those MAA members who are hungry for want of regular income will be provided with groceries on a periodic basis," Rao said.
