This Onam, Malluwood would see a keen contest between Mammootty and Mohanlal. They both have their films releasing on the festive occasion.

Mammootty's Bhargavacharitram Moonam Khandam will hit the screens on 1 September.

Directed by Joemon, the movie also stars Padmapriya and Srinivasan.

Mohanlal's long-pending Mahasamudhram is finally slated for a release this Onam. Mohanlal has donned the role of a fisherman in the movie that stars Laila opposite him. The movie is being directed by S Janardhanam.

With two biggies clashing at the box-office, it would be treat for film-buffs in Kerala.
