Mahendra Singh Dhoni has moved the Supreme Court against the Amrapali real estate company which has allegedly cheated him to the tune of rupees 40 Crores and has also not given possession of a penthouse in Amrapali Safari at Ranchi which he had booked.
The Team India senior player and Chennai Super Kings captain was appointed the brand ambassador of the Amrapali Group and he endorsed many projects and products from 2009 to 2016. MSD's wife Saakshi was also associated with the charitable wing of the company which ran into a huge financial crunch and 46000 home buyers had to go to court to gain possession of houses for which they already paid in full.
Hearing the case the Supreme Court on February 28 has ordered police custody of the Amrapali Group CMD Anil Sharma and two directors Shiv Deewani and Ajay Kumar.
