M.S. Dhoni has been one of the greatest servants of Indian cricket in the all-time history and has won an irreplaceable place in the hearts of crores of people whether they follow the game or not. A rumour started spreading that the wicket-keeper batsman is retiring from international cricket today and has called for a press meet this evening at 7pm.
The spark for the rumours came from none other than Team India captain Virat Kohli who has shared a picture of himself and Dhoni playing the 2016 World T20 against Australia and has captained it "A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test". Netizens mistook this as a tribute to Dhoni's retirement and then the press meet was added by some overenthusiastic soul.
Our sources at the BCCI have informed us that these are baseless rumours and MSD will decide when to hang his boots and will make it official like how he did when he quit Test cricket. Incidentally, Dhoni was not a part of the recently concluded West Indies tour and has also not been selected for the upcoming South Africa tour of India as well.
