M.K. Azhagiri the eldest son of the late DMK leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaigniar M. Karunanidhi as promised earlier conducted a silent march with one and a half lakhs supporters from Triplicane police station to his father’s grave at the Marina. Speaking to newsmen Azhagiri stated that he has no political motive and the event was organized only to pay respects to his dad on the 30th day of his passing away. He did not forget to thank the police officials for facilitating him.
Reporters questioned Azhagiri about the dismissal of Ravi a executive party member for siding with him. The “Anja Nejnan” as he is called by his followers was quick to reply challenging the DMK if they would dismiss the one and half lakh people who are behind him today. The news media and reportedly most party workers were disappointed that Azhagiri ended his march without any controversy against Stalin and the DMK high command.
