National award winning lyricist Na.Muthukumar has successfuly completed 12 years as a leading and much sought after lyricist in Kollywood film industry.

Much like the previous years, Muthukumar has been the busiest lyricist this 2015 also He has written 94 songs in 33 Tamil films this year. Out of these, he has penned all the songs in as many as nine films including the critically acclaimed blockbusters Papanasam`, Kaakka Muttai` and the super hit film Darling`.

The icing on the cake is that Muthukumar will be busier in the coming year. The list of the films he is presently working on is huge and most of these films are expected to hit the screens in 2016. This long list of 120 films includes Ilayathalapathi Vijay`s Theri`, all the songs in Ram directed Taramani`, all the songs in Vijay Sethupathi starrer Sethupathi` and many other films with prominent stars and technicians.

Muthukumar won his second national award this year for his song Azhage Azhage` in the film Saivam` that released in 2014. He also won the Filmfare award, Cinematographers Association`s award and Norway Film Festival award among others.

In 2015, the ace lyricist got the honour of representing Tamil language in the International Writers conference conducted by the Singapore Government.
