2015 has been very special year for Lyricist and dialogue writer Madhan Karky, especially due to 'Baahubali' the biggest ever blockbuster of South India that has taken him to an all new level of popularity.
Now Karky is working on the dialogues and lyrics of 'Baahubali 2' and is also a part of Superstar Rajinianth's '2.0' as a lyricist and co-writer of dialogues. Karky has also been working in many, the number of Tamil films as lyricist. Amid this tight schedule, he has been penned the lyrics for the new 'Baaha Kilikki' song which has been released as a tribute to 'Baahubali'.
The song has been composed by music director Achu and performed by famous pop singer Smita. Karky wrote the lyrics in Kiikki language that he created for Kalakeyas in 'Baahubali'.
Speaking to Indiaglitz about Karky shared interesting information on the evolution of the Kiliki language and also about the song in that language:
"Rajamouli sir wanted a new language for the Kalakeyas and I just started creating a few words. But later I ended up creating 750 words and 40 grammar rules to write sentences in the language. When I was working in the movie I asked Rajamouli sir, and Maragadhamani sir whether we can do a song in Kilikki for the war scene. But Rajamouli sir said there is not time and space for that. After few months Smita called me and said we can do a song in Kiliki as a tribute for Baahubali. I was very thrilled. Achu sent me a peppy and catchy tune. The idea is to teach Kilikki language. So Baha Kilki Raha Kilikki Pippi Filify Jivlak Rohi…`. It means Speak Kilii Sing Kiliki its as easy as killing someone…” It`s a very fun song. The way it has been choreographed and Smita has danced and performed is beautiful. The song has come out really well and I hope you all like it.”
