Versatile and talented lyricist Kulasekhar who worked in more than 100 films breathed his last today. The lyricist who entertained the music lovers in early 2000s was unwell for some days. He passed away today at the Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad, while undergoing the treatment.
Kulasekhar tasted success in his collaborations with music director RP Patnaik and director Teja. Before starting his career as a lyricist, Kulasekhar worked as a journalist in Eenadu. Some of the best works of Kulasekhar are from the films, Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Manasantha Nuvve are among many others.
After working in several films, Kulasekhar's career witnessed a downfall. On October 24, 2013, the police arrested him and sentenced him to six months in jail for stealing the shrine of a Sri Balatripura Sundari Ammavari in Kakinada. The police who later investigated his case reported that he was mentally unstable. Later he was shifted to Rajahmundry for treatment.
While he was busy as a lyricist, he directed the film Premalekha Rasa. Due to the delay in the release of the film, he was also mentally depressed. While undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital, he passed away.
