The Sri Lanka based Lyca Productions entered film industry through the 2014 Vijay starrer blockbuster 'Kaththi'. The production house seems to be undeterred by the protests it faced before the release of its maiden Tamil films. Lyca has started creating a strong base in Tamil film production and distribution cricles.

Lyca distributed the recent super hit film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' produced by Dhanush and also holds the distribution rights of the actor's other production ventures 'Thangamagan' and 'Visaranai'. The business conglomerate has reportedly acquired the distribution rights of the much anticipated 'Tharai Thappattai' produced and directed by Bala.

On the production side, Lyca is all set to present us the grandest Tamil film ever in the form of 'Enthiran 2' to be directed by Shankar with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. Apart from this, the production house will also be producing a new film with G.V.Prakash in the lead role.

Reliable sources reveal that Prakash who is presently acting in 'Bruce Lee', 'Ketta Payyanda Indha Karthi' and 'Kaipulla' has signed a new film under the Lyca banner. The director and other details of the film are expected to be revealed along with the official announcement on the project.
