As we all know, Superstar Rajinikanth has cancelled his plans to visit Jaffna to preside over a function to distribute newly built houses to the Sri Lankan Tamils by Gnana Foundation belonging to Lyca Group. As Rajinikanth cancelled the visit based on the requests from politicians of Tamil Nadu. This has snowballed as a controversy as Lyca has criticised the politicians who thwarted Rajinikanth from visiting Sri Lanka and the organisation has also sued politician T.Velmurugan for spreading allegedly defaming against Lyca.

On Friday, Raju Mahalingam, the Creative Head of Lyca visited Rajinikanth at the latter's Poes Garden Residence in Chennai. However this does not have anything to do with the ongoing controversy.

Raju Mahalingam celebrated his birthday yesterday and he met the Superstar to obtain his blessings.

Speaking about meeting. Mr.Mahalingam said, "I am blessed. This is a spiritual meeting. I cannot get a bigger birthday gift than this."
