Lyca Productions, the well-known production house that is known for magnum opus flicks like '2.0' and the yet-to-be-released 'Indian 2', has donated Rs 2 Cr to the covid relief fund of the Tamil Nadu chief minister.
In a statement, the happening banner said that the donation has been made on behalf of Alli Raja Subhaskaran. "We handed over a cheque of Rs. 2 crores to the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. M K Stalin, at the Secretariat in Chennai," said Mr. GKM Tamil Kumaran, Mr. Niruthan and Mr. Gaurav in a statement.
The Tamil Nadu CM Corona Relief Fund will spend the amount towards relief measures.
In recent weeks, Superstar Rajinikanth, Suriya and Karthi, among others, met with the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu to render their precious contributions.
As for Lyca Productions, after producing movies such as Rajinikanth's 'Darbar' and Suriya's 'Kaappaan', they are now producing Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan'. 'Ram Setu', starring Akshay Kumar in the lead, is also a crowning jewel of their filmography.
