Lyca Productions clarify about Tamil Rockers connection allegations

During the past weekend there were allegations that popular production house Lyca Productions is behind the movie piracy sites such as Tamil Rockers and Tamil Gun and they have clarified the issue.

According to the statement Lyca Productions has stated that the domain name lycamovie.com was not renewed by the previous owner Tamil Tamilan and hence they undertook it from July 15th 2017 after which the site points to their website lycaproductions.com. Another site lycamovies.com is still operated by other party.

It has also come to light that before the said date the sites were used for piracy by the previous owners. Lyca Productions has assured that the company is very invovled in curbing and fighting piracty not only for their films and also other films. The films that are to be released under the banner are Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' and '2.0', Dhanush's 'Vada Chennai', Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and many others. Their next high profile production is Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar.
