A few days ago, Kamal Haasan wrote an open letter to Lyca Productions regarding "safety audit" on the sets of 'Indian 2'. This came days after a tragic accident consumed three previous lives on the sets of the big-ticket film at Chennai's EVP Film City.
Director of Lyca Productions Neelkant Narayanpur has penned an open letter to Kamal and its content has piqued the interest of industry observers, media and audience. It says that "the entire shoot was also under the control and supervision of yourself (Kamal) and the director (Shankar)."
“We were in constant touch with your (Kamal's) office all through and arrived at the mortuary just 15 minutes after you. At that very point, Mr Subaskaran (of Lyca) announced financial assistance to the tune of Rs 2 crores to the family members of the deceased, and those who suffered injuries and also undertook to take care of their treatment. All these measures were taken before the receipt of your letter, and it is unfortunate that this did not come to your attention before the 22nd of February," Lyca's letter addressed to Kamal says.
