Lukka Chuppi
'Lukka Chuppi', which literally means "Hide and Seek" is a Malayalam movie directed by Bash Mohammad. The movie has been scripted by Gaffor Arackal, while the story is by Bash Mohammad itself. The movie is all about friendships and revolves around four friends and their reunion after long years.
The movie has four friends played by Murali Gopi, Jayasurya, Joju George and Saiju Kurup. These college friends decide a get together at a resort which is owned by the character essayed by Murali Gopi. The place is quite exquisite as it faces a lake and is made of glass. Each rooms are like characters in the tale. The entire movie more of less unravels here.
The four of them bring along their wives too. The role of Murali Gopi's wife is essayed by Ramya Nambeesan. She appears in a very homely role, wearing a simple cotton saree throughout. Then there is Suhara, played by Muthumani, who aspires to be a doctor but is married off to one at a young age. She comes from a wealthy Muslim family. Another of the wives is Radhika, played by Asmita Sood. She is settled abroad and is often the problem solver.
'Lukka Chuppi' revolves around certain issues among the four friends and its resolution. The sound design of the movie is being done by Oscar award winner Resul Pookutty. Lyrics by Rafeek Ahamed has been tuned by Bijipal. The movie is touted to be achieve a technical perfection, with even the set of the movie - that of the glass resort along the banks of a lake at Chettuvayal near Guruvayoor - made for 52 lakhs. The movie is being produced by Feel Reel cinema.
