The facilities provided by the ever improving technology has enabled the film industries to make great strides in enhancing the quality of their products, create more options in generating revenue and decreasing the time in which the movies can reach the film lovers.

But then there are all these shortcut ways too to cause trouble to the Film industries.

Film Pirates always manage to make duplicates at the shortest possible time and this results in the producers loosing millions.

To counter the exploitation of the films and increase the money that can be made from a movie UTV has come up with a novel idea.

After just three weeks of its release 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' is going to be the first Indian film to be telecasted through two most popular DTH platforms- Dish TV and Tata Sky.

On 18 December the humorous flick about the antics of a thief will be beamed by both Dish TV and Tata Sky.

However the movie cannot be experienced for free.

'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' will be available at Rs.100 to end consumers on a pay per view basis for download for 24 hours.

The Vice President, International Distribution & Syndication, UTV Motion Pictures- Amrita Pandey says " Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' is an outstanding film which has been acclaimed both by critics and viewers. We are proud to announce that this is the first Indian Movie to hit DTH in Just over three weeks. Normally movies have been going to DTH platforms only after 6-8 weeks and sometimes after the first satellite telecast of the movie. We at UTV like to take a path breaking approach to reducing exploitation windows and are looking forward to see how audiences consume a new and recently released film. This could form a growing revenue stream for all movies going forward".

COO of Dish TV, Salil Kapoor says "The premier of this film will enable our 4.6 million subscribers to enjoy the latest and best of movies in the comfort of their home. Dish TV is the market leader in providing premium content to its subscribers. We are the only DTH platform to broadcast Bollywood and Hollywood blockbuster movies like 'Taare Zameen Par', 'Jab We Met', 'Spider Man 3 etc. At Dish TV we are always innovating and exploring new opportunities to bring wholesome entertainment to the masses".

Chief Content & Business Development Officer of Tata Sky Ltd, Mr. Unnati Sinha says "Broadcasters today understand the importance of movies on DTH and this a welcome movie. A movie on DTH enriches the pay per view (PPV) experience and becomes an appointment viewing for the customer. On PPV, new movie releases enables both parties to monetize as well as kill piracy".
