There is a slight chance of the next movie of Dibakar Bannerjee 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye' having to sort out an issue about the originality of its story before it can hit the big screens.

The film tells the tale of a guy from a lower middle class family who becomes a thief to fulfill his ambitions of leading a posh life.

A conman by the name of Devendra Singh now serving a term at a jail in Delhi, has accused the director and the producer of the flick UTV to have used his life story for the film without his permission.

He has reportedly asked the production company to either pay up a big amount or get ready to see the film not being able to get to the cinema halls on the fixed date of its release.

However Dibakar says that he had met Devendra as part of the research for knowing the life of the conmen and their ways of functioning. But he had met several other thieves and that the story of the film is totally fictional and not based on the life of a single guy.

The producers of the film in order to clear the allegations of Devendra who is also known as Bunty are even ready to meet him and convince him that the story is in no way related to his life.
