Vijay Sethupathi who started his career as an extra has today with sheer talent and hard work grown to the stature of one of the biggest stars in South Indian cinema. He has an enviable lineup of films releasing this year namely 'Super Deluxe' (March 29th) followed by 'Sindhubaadh', 'Maamanithan', 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', a Vijaya Productions film and almost half a dozen that will go on floors this year itself.

The Makkal Selvan as he is fondly called as does not shy away from starring alongside big stars and after 'Petta' with Rajinikanth he is working with Amitabh Bachan and Chiranjeevi in 'Sye Raa'. The latest buzz is that VJS has done an important cameo role in Mohan Lal's upcoming movie 'Lucifer' that is releasing on March 28th.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran who is making his directorial debut in 'Lucifer' hinted recently in a video that apart from all the major highlights of the film there is another big surprise which will be revealed on the 22nd during the audio launch. Industry insiders are of the opinion that it is the presence of Vijay Sethupathi that he is hinting at. Well we have to wait for that confirmation to come in.
