2016 has started with a couple of dramatic thrillers and January would end with a couple of adult comedies. There have been a couple of dramatic musicals (Sanam Teri Kasam, Sanam Re) too. What is being missed on screen is a youthful affair that gets the ones in love together. This is what makes Loveshhuda special as it is the first romcom musical of the year. Girish Kumar is not new to the world of films. He has already made an impression with his boyish charm that is making him stand out from the rest of the crowd. Now that his pairing with Navneet is looking fresh and exciting, it is also an inherent chemistry between the two that is resulting in eagerness built up amongst the audience. Soon, it could well turn out to be the hottest 'new-n-fresh jodi' in town. With the kind of confidence that they are generating in the romantic light hearted scenes, love songs and the dance numbers, their 'jodi' is being noticed for sure.

With a beauty pageant background, Navneet Dhillon was waiting for just the right opportunity to make her big screen debut. She chose Loveshhuda due to its quirky set up and a humane treatment with a sensitive love story spinning it all together. She is already finding quite some visibility and it would be interesting to see how she has done in her first film 'Loveshhuda'.

First film of director Vaibhav Misra

Vaibhav Misra may be new to directing films but he is certainly not a novice. After being an Assistant Director in many notable Shahrukh Khan films, including RA. One, Om Shanti Om and Paheli, he is now turning independent with Loveshhuda. While he has worked in varied genre of films so far, when it came to his first film as a director, Vaibhav wanted to pick up a love story with an unconventional set up and a twist.

Parichay is a new entrant in the industry and has bagged a major opportunity in Loveshhuda where he is the principle composer on the film (with Mithoon as a guest composer for one song). So far, two of his party numbers have been released - Peene Ki Tamanna and Dono Ke Dono Single - and both have been making waves already. One waits to hear what next he has in store for the film.

Now that's the USP of the film. Never before has there been a Hindi film that starts with a drunken one night stand, only to result in a blossoming relationship. However, 2016 could well redefine the way in which youngsters perceive love, what with a physical relationship coming first and an emotional reunion taking place gradually. Expect a few more surprises in store when the film hits the screens today.
