We come across certain bizarre events in life daily, which highly resemble cinematic situations. Such an incident has taken place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. A couple that attempted to commit suicide ended up like Kamal Haasan and Rekha in the popular 'Punnagai Mannan' movie but with a twist.

The couple had been in love with each other for the last many years but were married to different persons. As the two could not live together, they decided to take their life by jumping into the Yamuna river. On May 29, the couple met at the New Yamuna Bridge. The 32-year-old woman jumped as per the plan but her lover Chandu, 30 years old, didn't.

If you think that's something, well here is the real twist: the woman knew swimming and she made it out of the river. Shocked and feeling betrayed, the woman complained against Chandu at the Kydganj police station. The woman is also a mother to a six-year-old. The police charged FIR against Chandu under the charges of attempt to murder and damage of one’s property.
