Lovely has had a good run at the BO. Giving a cause of celebration to its buyers, it collected a share of Rs. 3.62 cr in the first 3 days! Naturally, the team is upbeat about the success of this musical rom-com. B Jaya has a reason to smile because she has been able to finally regain her fame which wobbled after three failures – Premikulu, Sawal and Gundammagari Manavadu. For the lady director, Lovely is a bigger film than Chantigadu.

A lot of forethought went into zeroing in on the story. She had worked on a good two-and-a-half years on the script with the aim of reaching out to the youth as well as the family audience. "There have been many films in the past which explored father-daughter relationship, but Lovely shows how a son-in-law should be like," Jaya says.

She is happy to have got to work with good technicians – like Anup Rubens (music) and others.
