A couple of decades ago director Balachander came up with the heart-touching romantic movie Marocharithra.

The movie featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead role was a big hit among youths cutting across language barriers. Thrilled by the success of the movie, KB shot the movie in Hindi titled Ek Dujhe Ke Liye. He ended up wining the hearts of movie buffs all over the country.

Now Kollywood is gearing for the release of Uyirullavarai, a movie inspired by Marocharithra.

Newcomers Shakthi and Roshini are playing the lead roles in this film.

Also in the cast are Nizhalgal Ravi, Livingstone, Ramatha, Nellai Siva, Vindhya, Bharathi, Kiti, Chitra, and Prameela. S S Bharathy has directed the film, while S A Raj-kumar is the music director.

According to S S Bharathy, Marocharithra is an immortal classic, which is sure to attract people of all age groups.Uyirullavarai is an attempt towards recreating the same with changes to suit the audience of today'.

So is love time-less? Well, only time can say.
