The chances of this film ‘Love in Mandya’ turning great in box office is mainly because of the great contribution that comes from state award winning music director Raaga Nidhi Anoop Seelin and cameraman Sugnan. The duo give spectacular work and rest of the work become secondary. There are many examples of Kannada film becoming hit from music part in the film. This could be another one and only time will answer. The film is neat and tidy in 119 minutes and 7 seconds from debutant Arasu Anthaare. ‘Love in Mandya’ a debut film of lyricist Arasu Anthaare like dancer director V Murali in ‘Namo Boothatma’ (both released this week) is set in the village background and simple love with innocence is fed with good music. Both Abhinaya Chatura Ninasam Satish and ‘Desi Cheluvi’ Sindu Lokanath rock in songs. Just because his lovely lady Sushma (Sindhu Lokanath) slipped on her way and got injured to her finger, the protagonist Karna (Ninasam Satish) removes a small rock on the road digging it for a few hours. That confirms love and the peck he receives from Sushma leads to a most popular song of the film ‘Opkond Bitlu Kanla…..As usual there is barricade as the job of Karna is giving cable connections. At Sushma family there is a look out for her marriage. Sensing further danger in the love – the two escapes with cable Basappa help and land up in Hosur where Periyander a man with big clout supports the lovers. The life in Hosur for lovers from Mandya is not that easy. How they face trouble after killing of Peryander (Rajendra Karanth) is climax part of the film. It is not a big challenging task for ‘Drama’ pair Ninasam Satish and Sindhu Lokanath. They have done just to their roles. The surprise in acting and dialogue comes from two child characters – Shille (Manjunath) and sister of Sushma played by Bhavana. There is another girl Impana who is in Hosur portion also attractive. Right from Opkond Bitlu Kanla…the songs such as Ondu Apuroopada Gaana Idu…Raaga Nidhi Anoop Seelin goes on in giving lilting tunes. Le Maava Nin Baayig Man Haaka….is peppy, Current Hoda Time Alli….sung by Bappi Lahiri is very romantic. One would definitely appreciate the shots of Sugnan in this film ‘Love in Mandya’. This is a cool watch for the family. Score 8/10
