Losing meat for a meaty role

Kana Kanden has come at an appropriate time, when I had a string of failures, says actor Srikanth, who is hoping that the movie directed by cinematographer K V Anand will set his sagging career on a revival path.

Speaking about the movie before flying off to Canada to take part in a function, Srikanth said "last year was a very ordinary one for me for I could not render any decent hit.

Things seem to have changed this year with Kana Kanden. Ever since K V Anand narrated the film to me I have been confident that this film which has the right mix of romance and action would click".

After a series of action packed movies, Srikanth is playing this romantic subject. "I have worked hard to reduce my weight and lost around 10 kilograms to suit the role."

You lose some to win some.

The whole team including actress Gopika, actor Vivek, music composer Vidyasagar and cinematographer Soundararajan deserves a special mention for completing the project in less than 55 days, he adds.

Some of his forthcoming movies include Oru Naal Oru Kanavu opposite Sonia Agrawal directed by Fazil and Pambara Kannalae directed by Parthy Bhaskar.
