As reported earlier, popular Malayalam actor and producer Vijay Babu has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a budding actress. He is also booked for disclosing the survivor's identity through a Facebook live session. Now, the latest is that the accused has been absconding after the "dramatic" Facebook Live session in which he claimed to be "innocent". On Thursday, the Kerala police said that a lookout notice has been issued against him. After the women lodged the complaint on April 22, the Kochi Police began the investigation and gathered evidences that were reportedly against him. "A lookout notice has been issued against him. Prima facie, the case is proved. There is an exploitative angle in this case," the senior police officer told a news channel. "A rape case was registered against him first. As he disclosed the survivor's identity, another case was also filed. It seems that he is out of station and absconding now," a senior police officer had said.

The budding actress who played an important role in one of Vijay Babu's production ventures, broke out against him through a Facebook post. The actress penned in detail about the alleged physical assault and sexual exploitation that she had suffered at the hands of the producer-actor for the past one-and-a-half months.
