Multi-talented star Farhan Akhtar started his Bollywood career as a director in the year 2001 with the film 'Dil Chahta Hai'. However, it wasn't until 2008 that he made his acting debut with the film 'Rock On'. Revolving around members of a rock band, 'Rock On' was like nothing people had seen before so it managed to be a blockbuster and its upbeat songs were also appreciated by the audience.
The film completed 13 year of its theatrical release on Sunday and on this ocassion Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and director Abhishek Kapoor looked back to this amazing film. Farhan shared a B&W artwork of band and its gear with "Celebrating 13 years of Rock On!!" written on it. Abhishek Kapoor shared a bunch of photos from the movie and captioned them as, "Hum honge lights hongi, ek huge audience hogi.. aur hogi music, jiske har beat mein, har note mein zindagi hogi."
Luke Kenny, who played the bass guitarist in the film, wrote, "13 years of #RockOn!! The rock n roll continues. Thank you for all the Magikal love and affection." 'Rock On' also marked the singing debut of Farhan Akhtar. Since he was playing a rockstar, he decided to do his own singing for songs like Pichle Saat Dino Me and the title track.
