It is difficult being in Laya's shoes.

Starting off as a child artiste and slowly working her way in Telugu, she is the only true Andhra girl in town these days.

She looks cute and comely and has a simple and attractive acting approach.Yet, she is also a struggling actress here.

The offers in Andhra have been far and few between Though she is doing a Malayalam film now, Laya always sets much store by her Telugu origins.

She wants do well here, and she hopes Adirindayya Chandram (Kotha Illu Kotha Pellam Kotha) will help to establish herself strongly.

She is paired with Shivaji in the film. The duo earlier did Misamma that won critical acclaim as well as box office success.

The film is almost 70 per cent over and may be released for this summer. Laya says the story will strike a chord with the public. She says it is an everyday story told in an endearing sort of way.

Laya in fact goes to the extent of saying that the film will be a milestone in her career. But the road ahead for Laya is still long.
