London welcomes Raavan with open hands

The world premier of Raavan unfolded in London with good amount of fanfare. Both the filmÂs team and the international audience looked visibly excited with the whole thing, because finally the wait has come to an end.
Director Mani Ratnam was accompanied by wife-producer Suhasini. Seems like the dress code colour had been the black, where most of the stars had turned in same. As usual Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen clinging on to hubby and co-star Abhishek. BollywoodÂs first couple and parents of Abhishek, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan had graced the red carpet premier.
South star Vikram too looked equally stunning and maintained a calm and composed expression. The icing on the cake was the Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, who proved to be add-on bonanza for the already excited fans. The coming together of Bachchans and the Khan had been quite a treat. Shah Rukh had been at the screening with his wife Gauri.
The stars were well received by the crowd with so much gusto that was unexpected. Said Abhishek to media there, ÂIt's wonderful. Look at the reception we've got. We are feeling on top of the world and so happy that we came to London to premiere the film.Â
While Amitabh remarked, ÂI've never seen anything like this before and it just shows the love and affection that people outside of India have for our films.Â
Being his first film, Vikram too found the unexpected response thrilling. Said the southie, ÂThis is my first Hindi film so I'm very excited because I'm going to get a totally new audience that kind of gave me a thrill.Â
Hmmm, we hope ÂRaavan receives same response from the Indian audience response tomorrow .
