Lokesh Kanagaraj spills a bean on the next film in his cinematic universe – ‘Kaithi 2’ confirmed!

Lokesh Kanagaraj delivered a compelling, action loaded multistarrer film ‘Vikram’ which satisfied all the hype that surrounded it. The film became Kamal Haasan’s career-best opening and still dominates the global box office. 

Meanwhile, one of the major highlights of ‘Vikram’ is that it is connected to Lokesh’s previous film ‘Kaithi’. The characters and the storyline from ‘Kaithi’ are reprised in ‘Vikram’ and these films have formed the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe. This franchise will have sequels, prequels and spin-offs followed by the two films. 

We have already updated you that ‘Kaithi 2’ and ‘Vikram 3’ are two possible sequels in the Kaithi-Vikram universe. Yesterday, Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed ‘Kaithi 2’ and spilled a bean on the film during a Twitter QnA session. When a fan quizzed how Anbu from Kaithi is still alive in Vikram, Lokesh replied that he survived the attack with an injury and the same will be explained further in Kaithi 2. 

Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi have put up show-stealing performances while Suriya headlines a special cameo. Anirudh carried the movie with his stellar background score while Girish Gangadharan and Philomin Raj showcase their prowess in visuals and cuts. Narain, Arjun Das and Harish Uthaman have reprised their roles from ‘Kaithi’ in ‘Vikram’.
