Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently the hottest director in Tamil cinema. His film journey started with the hyper link movie 'Managaram' which turned out to be a critical and commercial success. He followed it up with three back to back blockbuster hits namely Karthi's 'Kaithi', Thalapathy Vijay - Vijay Sethupathi's 'Master' and Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram'
Lokesh is currently helming Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' one of the biggest pan Indian projects with a top notch ensemble all star cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Joju George, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Priya Anand.
Meanwhile Lokesh has shared that nineteen years back he missed an opportunity to act in Vijay's 'Sachein'. He stated that he and a few friends bought visitors tickets to the Coimbatore airport when they got to know about the shooting of the film. He was so much in awe of watching Vijay act in the climax scene and was fixated on him. He added that his friends appeared in the scene with Vijay and Genelia as extras while he missed it but was very much satisfied on seeing his favorite hero in flesh and blood.
However Lokesh went on to direct Vijay in not one but two movies and sources say that the mass hero is so impressed by his work that he is ready to allot dates for him anytime in the future too.
