Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has shared that he was shocked when he got a call from the Income Tax Department. He revealed about the incident while speaking at a National Youth Day event organised by the IT department in Coimbatore.
Lokesh after recieving his award spoke "I was scared at first when I got a call from the Income Tax Department yesterday. After that I was happy when they told me that it is to give me an award." The man behind the all time blockbuster hit 'Vikram' gave a suggestion to the government "It would be great if the Income Tax authorities clearly explain to the citizens exactly what the money collected as income tax is used for. Then everyone will be happy to pay and will not see it as a burden."
Pressmen gathered around Lokesh Kanagaraj after the event and naturally he was asked again when updates on his next 'Thalapathy 67' will come. The ace filmmaker stated that he did not give any update on his next because of the release of 'Varisu'. But promised that the it will arrive in 10 days and after that, the fans will continue to receive all the developments in the project at regular intervals. He also hinted that the film is planned for a Diwali 2023 or Pongal 2024 release.
'Thalapathy 67' reunited Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after the super hit 'Master'. The film is produced by Seven Screen Studios with music by Anirudh. Apart from Vijay the other big names reportedly associated with the project are Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Manzoor Ali Khan, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
