Director Lokesh Kangaraj made a strong debut with 'Maanagaram' which was critically acclaimed and followed it up with the huge box office hit 'Kaithi' starring Karthi and has now completed shooting 'Master' that brings together two powerhouses of Tami cinema Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi.

The postproduction of 'Master' was in full swing aiming April 9th release but the coronavirus pandemic has put a huge roadblock to the film industry and by the look of things, it could take a couple of months at least for cinema halls to function normally.

We brought you the news first that Lokesh Kanagaraj has signed on to direct a mega film for Kamal Haasan's Raj Kamal Films International which is set to star Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. Our sources have revealed that Lokesh is not wasting any time in the coronavirus lockdown and has gone ahead with discussions for the Rajini-Kamal film and script work is going on in full swing. The project was planned to go on floors in August but the team is optimistic to start by the New Year 2021.
