Tamil cinema over the past few years is growing in leaps and bounds and several pathbreaking films have come from its bunch of maverick filmmakers. Every passing day there are exciting and electrifying combos happening which is changing the entertainment landscape and the forecast is that good times are ahead for fans.
The latest mammoth news in Kollywood is that top Tamil filmmakers Mani Ratnam, Shankar, Vettrimaaran, Lingusamy, A.R. Murugadoss, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mysskin among others are uniting to form a production house.
It is said that the new company is named Rain On Films and will be producing dozens of films, web series and originals for OTT. The first project will be a multistarrer and Lokesh Kanagaraj has been chosen to helm it. More details regarding this supercharged venture, backed by the Kollywood bigwigs will be out soon.
Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy with his multistarrer film 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Kalidas Jayaram, Andrea and Shivani Narayanan.
