Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is by far the most sensational young director to have stormed Kollywood in recent years ever since he made the pathbreaking debut in 'Maanagaram'. The critical acclaim of that film gave him the opportunity to make 'Kaithi' with Karthi as the hero which was one of the biggest hits of 2019 and also got rave reviews from critics.

The 'Kaithi' success catapulted Lokesh to the highest level and he got to direct Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi together in 'Master' which is awaiting release once the pandemic ends. That is not the end of awesomeness with Lokesh as he got the opportunity to direct Superstar Rajinikanth in a movie produced by none other than Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.

The Rajini-Kamal-Lokesh project would have gone on floors in August if not for the COVID 19 situation but it has now been pushed to a future date. The buzz is that Lokesh could direct Kamal next or a new Telugu movie produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
