Lokesh Kanagaraj who rose to fame after the grand success of Kaithi starring Karthi in the lead roles is now waiting for the reviews from fans on his new movie, Vikram starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Now Lokesh has asked his fans to do an important thing before watching this much-anticipated film.

Hours before the release of Vikram, Lokesh Kanagaraj penned an emotional letter about the film and directing Kamal Haasan. He wrote, "This is the most emotional I've ever felt before the release of my film. As I can remember, ever since I was a kid, I loved Ulaganayagan the most. This is a surreal experience for me, that I am directing a film in his honour (sic)."

He then continued, "I thank all the kind souls who made this possible. It has been 18 months since I started working on Vikram. As a team, we have shed blood and sweat (quite literally) for this film in order to entertain you, our audiences, and to celebrate One Man, the pride of our Nation, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan (sic)."

Lokesh also called Vikram a gift for Kamal Haasan. "It is a great honour to have the opportunity to direct you, sir. This film is a gift to you from a fanboy! I will cherish these moments forever! (sic)," he added.

The Master director also had a word of advice for the fans. "And to my lovely audience, Vikram is going to be all yours in a few hours. We hope you enjoy it and have an amazing theatre experience! And please do revisit Kaithi before getting into the world of Vikram (sic)."

The film has Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. While Suriya plays a cameo, Arjun Das, Harish Uthaman, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram and others will be seen in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the film.
