Lokesh Kanagaraj's next movie 'Leo' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt among others is releasing on October 19th. The film is said to have made a pre-release business of over rupees four hundred crores catupulting the market of the filmmaker to a new high. It is already well known that Lokesh will next direct Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 171' and he himself confirmed that he will be moving on to Karthi's 'Kaithi 2' after that.

Now the latest talk in tinsel town is that there are major changes in plans for the busy director. Accordingly talks have been held with production house Dream Warrior Pictures to bankroll the new project 'Rolex' starring Suriya in the lead instead of 'Kaithi 2' and all parties concerned have reportedly agreed on it.

Suriya appeared in the climax of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan as the ruthless villain 'Rolex'. The cameo role became a rage amongst fans and ever since the film released there have been demands from them for a standalone film for the badass character. Recently Suriya also confirmed that 'Rolex' will be his next collaboration with Lokesh and later the duo will start their long pending 'Irumbu Kai Mayavi'.

Though this is great news Karthi fans will be disappointed that it will take a long time for them to see their favorite character 'Dilli' again. There are whispers that Lokesh can make the next film as both characters Rolex vs Dilli clashing which will satisfy Suriya and Karthi fans equally. Anyways the project will only go on floors in late 2024 or early 2025 and we will get to know what exactly is the plan of the makers by then. Stay tuned.
