Director reveals Lokesh Kanagaraj's character in upcoming movie

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been hogging headlines for the past few years having delivered back to back blockbuster hits 'Kaithi', 'Master', 'Vikram' and now 'Leo'. The films starred the cream of Tamil cinema namely Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya. He is all set to direct Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 171' produed by Sun Pictures.
Meanwhile we broke the news long back that Lokesh has made a cameo appearance in the upcoming 'Singapore Saloon' produced by Vels Films International. The film is directed by Gokul of 'Idharku Thaaney Aasaipattai Balakumara' and 'Kashmora' fame.
Gokul in his recent interiew has shared that the film deals with the life of a hair stylist and will relate to every movie goer. The story required a celebrity to make a cameo appearance and while most of his suggested an actor like Vijay Sethupathi he opted to cast Lokesh Kanagaraj instead.
According to Gokul he and Lokesh are friends right from the time they both made 'Kashmora' and 'Maanagaram' for the same production house Dream Warrior Pictures. He felt that Lokesh is a star maker and it will be apt if he made the special appearance and the 'Leo' maker instantly agreed.
'Singapore Saloon' stars R.J. Balaji, Sathyaraj, Lal, Shivani Rajasekhar, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Robo Shankar and Jiiva in a special guest appearance. Vivek Mervin is scoring the music, while the film's cinematography is handled by M Sukumar.
