Lokesh Kanagaraj is the most sensational young director in Tamil cinema whose 'Master' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi carries a huge buzz in the trade and is especially expected to rescue the theater business from the COVID 19 grips. He is also gearing up to shoot the Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vikram' in Januay 2021.

Lokesh has shared on social media "Got to hear the story of 'Corona Kumar' from
Director Gokul, I wasn't able to control myself from laughing. Complete laughter riot! Waiting to see it on the big screens." He has also said "All the very best Machi" to the producer of the film Sathish of Cinemawala Films.

'Corona Kumar' is a spinoff of the 2013 super hit laugh riot 'idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nanditha Shwetha. Vijay Sethupathi is reportedly playing a character in the film which has a music score by Siddharth Vipin who also worked in the original.
