Election commission Flying squad officials suspended!

4 officials from the election commission flying squad have been suspended after there were complaints that they had asked for bribes during their vehicle search operation in ICF, Chennai to seize unaccounted money that is distributed by political parties.

A person identified to be Jaiguhan had traveled via ICF in his car, and after the flying squad officials stopped his car and searched, they seized 50,000 rupees cash, and took the money to Villivakkam police station.

Following this incident, Jaiguhan had filed a complaint with the district election officer that the flying squad officials had demanded bribe to return the money, and had got Rs 2000 to give back his money. Following this flying squad official Babu and police officers Vasudevan, Karthikeyan and Veeramani were suspended.
