As the DMK-Congress and the ADMK-BJP alliances are getting ready to lock horns in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled between April 11th and May 19th this year, many small parties that have not found a place in either front are planning to go it alone.
Former Chief Minister Jayalalitha's niece and the General Secretary of MGR Amma Deepa Peravai has today announced that she would face the elections alone. She has stated that while the ADMK and TTV Dinakaran of AMMK are claiming that they have the support of one and a half crore cadres she also has the backing of them.
Deepa further added that she has strong supporters in spite of several setbacks she faced and is having a discussion with them to choose and contest in constituencies that are feasible to them. Deepa finished off by saying that she will announce whether she would contest the polls and in which constituency after consultations with her party members.
