Mohanlal in his blog stated that 'Loham' is not just about mustache twirling. He says that there are parts where he does it and there are not. 'Loham' talks about a serious issue in Kerala. Like 'Spirit' talked about the dangers of being addicted to alcohol, 'Loham' is about something like that.

Mohanlal hints that the story may seem impossible in real life, but then that is cinema for you. He says that there is something unusual in the movie and an even more unusual climax. The actor also added that there are some movies which gives you a feel that it is something different and that 'Loham' is one such movie. The movie is directed by Ranjith and will hit the screens by Onam. Andrea Jeremiah is the lead heroine.
