Controversial model and Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey was arrested by the Mumbai Police yesterday for violation of the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. The actress has often been in news for her sensational social media photos. .

As per reports, Poonam Pandey and her friend were seen wandering outside without any reason and a case has been registered against her at Marine Drive Police Station, Mumbai under IPC sections 188, 269 and 51 (B), and her BMW car was also seized.

As said by police officer Mrityunjay Hiremath, the case has been registered against Pandey and her friend Sam Ahmad Bombay under sections 269 (Negligent act likely to spread infection of a disease dangerous to life) and 188 (Disobedience of order duly promulgated by public servant) of IPC, under provisions of the National Disaster Act.
